Our training aircraft are a BRISTELL B23 and a Vulcan Air V.1.0, which are insured in accordance with statutory regulations. We would be happy to explain the insurance conditions to you personally.

The minimum age to start the training is 16 years, to obtain the license 17 years.

The class II medical certificate must be issued before the first practical lesson and is valid up to the age of 40 for 60 months and up to the age of 50 for 24 months, from the age of 50 for 12 months.

Training

The practical training comprises at least 45 hours of flight. This must include at least 25 hours with an instructor, at least 10 hours of solo flight time and of which at least 5 hours of solo overland flight time. The training is mainly based on your time. Our flight instructors train on weekdays and on weekends (also in the winter months if the weather is suitable). The training can be started at any time.

The theory includes the following subjects:

  • Aerodynamics
  • General Aircraft Knowledge (technology)
  • Air law
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Operational procedures
  • Flight performance and flight planning

The final theoretical exam takes place at the Lower Saxony State authority for road construction and traffic.

The validity of the license is determined by the validity of the registered authorizations and the medical certificate. The respective authorization is valid for 24 months. The holder of a license may only exercise the rights of a granted authorization if he meets the relevant requirements of the JAR-FCL. (Flight times within the last 12 months before the authorization expires are 12 flight hours and 12 landings as well as a training flight with a flight instructor which must last at least 1 hour).
